Woodinville

Woodinville is a city in King County, Washington with a population of around 13,000. Founded as a logging town in the 1800s, it shifted into agriculture post-war and eventually turned into the wine capital it is today. It is one of the best places to live in Washington, with its laid-back suburban feel and easy access to Seattle and Bellevue.

West Valley District is located on the west side of the Sammamish River and is home to a long stretch of wineries. Hollywood District is home to several wineries, farms, and bike trails set against the backdrop of Mount Rainier. Downtown District has everything to offer from tasting rooms to artisan shops. Last but certainly not least, Warehouse District has the most wineries per square foot than anywhere else in the world.

  • Easy to get around: With a total land area of only 5.63 square miles, a lot of its establishments are closely located to one another.. Biking is an easy way to get around, especially with Woodinville’s flat roads. Woodinville is conveniently accessible from the greater Seattle area, with access from I-405, WA-522, and WA-520.

  • Top schools: Nine of the city’s schools are under the Northshore School District, whereas two schools in the southwest area are serviced by the Lake Washington School District. There are also several private schools in Woodinville. Although there are no colleges in Woodinville, the University of Washington Bothell Campus and Cascadia Community College are just a short ride away.
